GoPlus provides security data support for Opera Crypto Browser
We are pleased to announce that GoPlus Security provides security data support for Opera Crypto Browser, the first dedicated Web3 browser. This support will be enabled by integrating a primary security detection API service that GoPlus security provides, Malicious Address API. In addition, GoPlus Security contributes security parameters to Opera’s own Dapp Security Information service. This new integration means that the security-and-privacy-centric Web3 browser from Opera will further enhance the security experience for its crypto users, building on its existing advanced security features.
Opera Crypto Browser is built with the unique needs of crypto users in mind. It is an all-encompassing browser offering users access to the world of cryptocurrency, blockchain, and Web3. It supports multiple blockchain networks, including Ethereum, Bitcoin, Polygon, BNB, MultiversX, and more, as well as tens of thousands of Dapps (Decentralized Applications) and the protocols built on top of them via the built-in Opera Wallet. The Wallet Selector allows users to quickly and seamlessly toggle between various wallet extensions, managing their assets and accessing Dapps more efficiently than ever.
In its latest update, Opera Crypto Browser includes Web3 Guard — a suite of browser security features designed to bulletproof the browsing experience for Web3 users by providing timely security warnings and recommended actions when browsing Web3 and visiting Dapps.
In addition, it includes a series of privacy-enhancing features such as a secure clipboard, a built-in browser VPN and the premium VPN Pro, HTTPS everywhere, as well as ad blocking and tracker blocking. Users also have direct access to key platforms and messengers, like Twitter, Telegram, and Discord directly in the sidebar so they don’t have to download separate apps.
With the API service and support provided by GoPlus, Opera Crypto Browser can help users interact with Dapps more securely and reduce the risks they face when making transactions. By integrating the Malicious Address API into its native wallet, Opera Crypto Browser can help users promptly identify the malicious addresses associated with potential security risks and protect their assets. The latest security addition to the Opera Wallet for Crypto Browser, Malicious Recipient Address Check helps protect users against fraud when performing transactions within the Opera Crypto Wallet for Crypto Browser. It does this by screening the recipient address powered by GoPlus against a list of known malicious agents.

Additionally, with Opera’s Dapp Security Information service that integrates security parameters by GoPlus, Opera Crypto Browser can help users identify and minimize security risks when interacting with Dapps.
GoPlus is a crypto security infrastructure that enables you to analyze security risks around crypto assets and find related solutions. Besides the Malicious Address API, GoPlus offers you other security-related API services, including Token Security API, Approval Security, and NFT Security API. You can search/query information related to security risks, including token security, Dapp security, and more, and the engine will return with an appropriate answer. Similar to how you would do a Google search, the GoPlus search engine allows you to search for keywords, addresses, or token contracts to seek information on security info and find practical solutions.
GoPlus is working as the “security infrastructure” for web3 by providing open, permissionless, user-driven Security Services. GoPlus is building on the Security data infrastructure and Security Service platform, making a safer web3 Ecosystem.
Currently, GoPlus has developed a real-time, dynamic, and automated security detecting platform, including token detection, NFT detection, Malicious Address, Approval Security API, and dApp contract security, with more than 2 million data calls every day. Goplus is also preparing for a security service Marketplace to launch at the end of 2022.
