SOLANA BASE BNB Token Issuance Trend Report

2025–03–16
This report analyzes token issuance trends and honeypot token patterns across SOLANA, BASE, and BNB blockchain networks from December 2024 to March 2025, revealing development dynamics and security concerns in each platform’s token market.
As shown in the charts above, from an overall perspective, SOLANA consistently maintained the highest token issuance volume throughout the observation period, with new token numbers significantly exceeding the other two blockchains.
The charts below illustrate the new token issuance trends for each chain individually:
SOLANA
- SOLANA’s token issuance peaked in mid-January 2025, approaching 800,000 tokens, followed by a continuous downward trend.
- From mid-January to March 2025, SOLANA’s new token issuance decreased by approximately 65%, falling from nearly 800,000 to about 280,000 tokens.
- This trend suggests that despite SOLANA’s leadership in token issuance volume, market enthusiasm may be gradually cooling.
BASE
- The BASE platform maintained relatively stable token issuance levels for most of the observation period, but experienced a significant peak of approximately 135,000 tokens in early January 2025, followed by a decline and then another significant growth from mid-February.
- From mid-February to early March 2025, BASE’s token issuance rose again, ultimately reaching about 175,000 tokens.
- This growth trend indicates BASE is gaining attention from more developers and projects, potentially emerging as a rising platform for token issuance.
BNB
- BNB had the lowest token issuance volume among the three platforms, mostly remaining between 10,000–15,000 tokens.
- BNB experienced a notable peak in mid-February 2025, reaching approximately 52,000 tokens, then declined but maintained at higher levels than earlier periods.
- Recent data shows BNB’s token issuance at around 33,000 tokens, representing growth compared to December 2024 levels.
Honeypot Token Analysis
BNB
- BNB’s honeypot token count peaked in mid-January 2025, approaching 1,750, before declining sharply.
- By March 2025, BNB’s honeypot token count had dropped to approximately 60, a reduction of about 97% from its peak.
- This may indicate strengthened security governance on the BNB platform, or fraudsters shifting to other platforms.
BASE
- Honeypot tokens on the BASE platform showed an initial peak in early January 2025 (approximately 870) before gradually decreasing.
- However, March 2025 saw a sharp increase in honeypot tokens to approximately 1,000, coinciding with the growth in token issuance during the same period.
- This significant increase suggests that as the BASE platform’s popularity rises, it has also attracted more fraudulent activity.
Correlations and Trends
- The simultaneous increase in both token issuance and honeypot tokens on BASE in March 2025 suggests the platform is experiencing rapid expansion while facing security challenges.
- BNB’s high proportion of honeypot tokens (relative to total new tokens) in mid-January 2025 indicates the network may have faced more serious security issues during that time.
